Large 12 Litre Bamboo Pseudosasa Japonica 120cm: This is one of the most widespread and common Bamboo in the country and easily recognisable, probably in many of the gardens surrounding your home. Although an outdoor Bamboo it can if you desire be grown indoors, however it is not what we would personally recommend. The long green leaves have a size range of between 12cm and 30cm by approximately 7cm wide, much larger than the leaves of other similar hardy Bamboo. Fully winter hardy to -25 so a good choice for the colder areas of the uk. Pseudosasa Japonica or Arrow Bamboo is an extremely tough and versatile plant, it can be planted in shade right through to full sun in a south facing garden and unlike some other Bamboo is extremely tolerant of wind, it makes a good choice for positions in the garden where most other plants have failed. It can, if you wish to restrict height, be pruned to almost any height we have actually seen in some cases where it has been shaped to create a dense rigid square hedge.
What to expect: Your plant will arrive with an actual height of approximately 140cm. Planted in a 12 litre/30cm pot, nice bushy plants.
Planting Position: Can be planted almost anywhere in the garden in any part of the uk from full sun through to partial shade.
Soil: Any free draining damp soil, humus rich is the perfect choice, but Sasa Japonica Is an extremely versatile Bamboo.
