The Saracoccoa is the perfect answer for all areas of the garden from full sun through to shade, winter hardy to -15!
Saracoccoa Hookeriana Humilis 9 Litre 40-50cm: Also known as Sweet Box or Winter Gem Sarcococca Humilis. The sweet honey like fragrance of this lovely evergreen shrub announces its presence well before you see it. Small clusters of pink-flushed creamy white scented flowers appear from early winter followed by black berries, the smallest of the Sarcococca range reaching heights of approximately 60cm with a similar spread as well as a small solitary bush it does well in pots or can be used for low growing ground cover.
What to expect: Your shrub will arrive very well established planted in a large 9 litre pot and will stand at approximately 40/50cm high.
The Sarcococca is very easy to grow and they thrive in shade. They can provide excellent ground cover under trees or in dark corners. They are happy with both lime or acid soils and ideally well drained soil although they will survive in moist ground. In late Spring you can lightly trim or prune back.
