Carpinus Betulus Trough:  The planted trough is a perfect instant hedge and very easy to maintain.  The beauty of buying hedging in a trough is they are, typically, 2/3 seasons ahead of rootball.    The plants are 2 years in the ground then a further 1 year in the trough.   There are enough nutrients in the trough to help the plants for another 1/2 Season.

Although Carpinus is Deciduous any leaves that stay over winter will go brown.   Carpinus is fairly quick growing and happy to grow in all soil types.

What to expect: Your Carpinus trough will arrive planted in a 100cm long, 20cm width trough, it will have an overall height inclusive of pot of approximate 110cm. The trough is made up of 5 Carpinus plants.  It will look exactly like the picture.

Hedges play a crucial role in fostering biodiversity by serving as safe havens for various wildlife, including birds and insects. Apart from their ecological importance, they also provide an effective measure for improving privacy. Implementing robust hedging practices can potentially turn gardens into prosperous ecosystems, promoting overall environmental health.
