Large White Flowering Clematis Plants 'Miss Bateman' 180cm Tall. 7 Litre Pot 3 Canes: An.elegant, white, early summer flowering Clematis, initially flowers are striped green, with contrasting chocolate-red centres and mid-green leaves later becoming pure white. This is a relatively compact, large-flowered clematis it is excellent for growing in a large container or through a shrub or tree as well as for more traditional planting areas. It copes well in full sun or light partial shade, it produces a second flush of flowers from August to September.. Height and spread at full maturity approximately 2.5 metres with a 1 metre spread

What to expect: Your plant will arrive with an actual plant size of around 160cm and depending on the time of year purchased will look just like the pictures, taken April 2017, please note if purchased out of season these plants may of been pruned.

A relatively easy to care for plant. In early spring cut back the previous year's stems to a pair of strong buds about 15-20 cm above the soil and apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser, such as Osmocote and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant.
Planting climbers Having suitable support for your climber is essential. Do not plant too close to a retaining wall or fence as this will cause the plant to dry out. To prevent this, plant at least a foot away and at roughly a 45-degree angle leaning back towards the support structure. Once planted, compact soil mixture around the base for extra support and water well.
