Leucothoe Axillaris 'Royal Ruby' 5 Litre - Leucothoe Royal Ruby is an evergreen shrub, that gives great autumn colour. Due to the relatively low growth habit, around about 50cm at maturity it tends to be used for ground cover in borders, but also a good choice for an evergreen plant in pots. Royal Ruby has attractive green leaves, edeged with red, leaves mature to deep red in Autumn, and small white flowers are produced in spring.
Leucothoe Royal Ruby is best grown in acid soil or ericaceous compost in pots,

An extremely low maintenance tough plant that requires no special attention. Plant in a sunny or semi shaded spot in well drained damp soil. Prepare your hole by loosening the soil at the base of the hole to help root establishment, adding an organic compost will also help the plant get settled. Feed sparingly during the summer months to encourage winter colour change. If planted in a pot ensure a good water supply. This plant has no special requirements during the winter months.
