2 x Hebe 'Purple Pixie' 2 Litre: Part of the Hebe 'Exclusive Range'. Purple Pixie is a compact rounded evergreen with small, neat, mid-green leaves and prolific clusters of light purple flowers from late spring to the frosts. It is attractive to bees and butterflies and is one of the longest flowering Hebes, this usually starts after late frosts and can last long into autumn. Ideal for a wide range of planting conditions

What to expect: Due to the size of these plants we sell in batches of 4s and 2s, this way we are able to charge 1 postage cost of just £6.95.

Your 'Purple Pixies' will arrive planted in a 2 litre/17cm pot, they will have a minimum plant size excluding the pot of 15cm, obviously this depends on the time of the year if purchased during the summer they will be considerably larger, upto 40cm. The picture was taken January 2015 and shows the plant in its smallest form.

Planting Position: For best results plant in a sunny through to a partially shaded area in well-drained soil.

Soil: Best suited to well drained acidic soil, but will easily tolerate almost all other types, excluding heavy clay.

Suitable for container planting: Yes ideal for both ground and container planting.

Eventual height and spread: Up to 70cms tall with a spread of 40cm

Growth Habit: Dense compact shrub, with masses of long lasting purple flowers

Flowering Period: Produces masses of white flowers that begin appearing in late May and last for long periods.

Foliage: Mid to dark green with Purple flowers during the summer months

Evergreen: Yes

Winter Hardy: Yes

Our Hebes are specially selected by us to be low maintenance plants that require very little attention, some liquid food during once or twice during the summer months will help promote growth, though this is merely a suggestion not a necessity. If the plant becomes too large for its chosen spot it is preferable to trim back over a period of months rather than in one attempt, this will result in a bushier healthier plant.
