4 x Hebe 'Blue Star' 2 Litre: Our Hebe Blue Star plants are selected from the Hebe 'Exclusive' range they are of the highest quality. While Blue Star is classed as a dwarf variety, it will still reach heights around 70cm with a 40cm spread. It is a tight compact plant with a superb colour, silvery/blue similar in colour to Lavender, throughout summer it produces masses of white flowers, over long periods.

What to expect: Due to the size of these plants we sell in batches of 4s and 2s, this way we are able to charge 1 postage cost of just £6.95.

Your plants will arrive planted in a 2 litre/17cm pot, they will have a minimum plant size excluding the pot of 15cm, obviously this depends on the time of the year if purchased during the summer they will be considerably larger. The picture was taken January 2015, the plant is part of the batch yours will be selected from, so will look very similar.

Planting Position: For best results plant in a sunny through to a partially shaded area in well-drained soil.

Soil: Best suited to well drained acidic soil, but will easily tolerate almost all other types, excluding heavy clay.

Suitable for container planting: Yes ideal for both ground and container planting.

Eventual height and spread: Up to 70cms tall with a spread of 40cm

Growth Habit: Dense compact shrub

Flowering Period: Produces masses of white flowers that begin appearing in late May and last for long periods.

Pruning: Should be pruned very lightly in early May, removing and foliage that has become damaged during the winter months, also a light trim after flowers have died back will help in maintaining its compact shape.

Foliage: Silvery/Blue small green leaves, very similar in appearance to compact lavender.

Evergreen: Yes

Winter Hardy: Happy in temperatures to -5, lower than this will require some protection.

A very low maintenance plant that requires very little attention, some liquid food during once or twice during the summer months will help promote growth, though this is merely a suggestion not a necessity. If the plant becomes too large for its chosen spot it is preferable to trim back over a period of months rather than in one attempt, this will result in a bushier healthier plant.
