Skimmia Japonica Temptation 5 Litre: Temptation Skimmia is one of the true self fertile varieties removing the necessity for planting in proximity male varieties, these plants will flower and produce berries regardless of there closely planted colleagues. Temptation really are beautiful looking Skimmia plants, that have year round interest, right through even the harshest of winters, from September to April and they are covered in masses of red berries along with there evergreen shiny leaves, late spring through to early summer it also produces creamy white flowers, a relatively slow growing plant that reach heights of upto approximately 1 metre with a similar spread.

What to expect: Your Skimmia will arrive as a well established plant in a large 5 litre pot, with a height excluding pot of approximately 50cm, the pictures were taken October, lots of berries are present but red colour is not fully established yet. The 3rd picture is last years stock in December. Depending when purchased your plant will look just like them.

This Skimmia requires a cool moist lightly shaded area, water and fertilise if pot planted. If pot planted ensure the pot or tub has no standing water around the base. For best results plant in neutral to acidic soli, or if pot planted ericaceous compost. Although Temptation is self fertile to get the very best try planting in an area with a male skimmia, such as Kew Green, Rubella or Fragrans.

Skimmia Temptation will reach heights of approximately 60 cm. It does not need cutting back, It produces creamy white flowers during April and May and red berries from September onwards and throughout the Winter. It adds a touch of colour during winter months.
