Hebe 'Frozen Flame' 4 Litre: Our Hebe 'Frozen Flame' plants are part of the magicolors range. This really is an all year round plant. In winter the foliage is flaming red, becoming a more subtle pale green with a hint of red and cream during the summer months. In spring through to summer the plant has blue flowers.

What to expect: Your plants will arrive planted in a 4 litre/20cm pot, it will be in tip top condition, the pictures were taken June 2016 your plant or plants  will look exactly like them.

Planting Position: For best results plant in a sunny through to a partially shaded area spot in well-drained soil. If you are purchasing to create a small hedge we recommend a planting distance of approximately 25cm

Soil: Best suited to well drained acidic soil, but will easily tolerate almost all other types, excluding heavy clay.

Suitable for container planting: Yes ideal for both ground and container planting.

Eventual height and spread: Up to 60cms tall with a spread of 45m

Growth Habit: Dense compact shrub

Flowering Period: Produces masses of purple flowers from late May through to late July

Pruning: A light pruning is best done after the flowering period has ended and the flowers have dies off this will be approximately mid to late August. Foliage: Variegated between pale green, cream and pale pink tips in Summer, bright red during winter

Evergreen: Yes

Winter Hardy: Yes

Our Hebes are specially selected by us to be low maintenance plants that require very little attention, some liquid food during once or twice during the summer months will help promote growth, though this is merely a suggestion not a necessity. If the plant becomes too large for its chosen spot it is preferable to trim back over a period of months rather than in one attempt, this will result in a bushier healthier plant.
