

Hebe 'Purple Shamrock' 3 Litre: Our Hebe Purple Shamrock plants are selected from the Hebe 'Exclusive' range they are of the highest quality. This bushy evergreen Hebe shrub is an asset to any garden. This plant is of Irish origin and can reach heights of upto 60cm. In summer its leaves turn a wonderful bright gold and in the winter and spring the leaves turn a purple with shades of red. The purple shamrock is a healthy grower a reasonably hardy plant (-5) it should be watered and given liquid nutrients regularly. In early summer the plant produces lovely purple flowers
What to expect: Your plants will arrive planted in a 3 litre/19cm pot, they will have a minimum plant size excluding the pot of 15cm, obviously this depends on the time of the year if purchased during the summer they will be considerably larger. The pictures were taken in April, the plant is part of the batch yours will be selected from, so will look very similar.
Planting Position: For best results plant in a sunny through to a partially shaded area in well-drained soil.
Soil: Best suited to well drained acidic soil, but will easily tolerate almost all other types, excluding heavy clay.
Suitable for container planting: Yes ideal for both ground and container planting.
Eventual height and spread: Up to 60cms tall with a spread of 45m

Flowering Period: Produces masses of purple flowers from late May through to late July
Pruning: A light pruning is best done after the flowering period has ended and the flowers have dies off this will be approximately mid to late August. Foliage: Slim oval mid-green with creamy yellow edges
