A low maintenance coniferous tree that once established requires little or no maintenance. whilst not originating form Italy they are now generally cultivated and associated with Italy in particularly Tuscany. Tolerant but not immune to drought conditions, for the first two years after planting whilst becoming fully established ensure the plant or plants have plenty of water and do not allow them to dry out for prolonged periods, even during wet spells ensure the surrounding area is still getting water,  and whilst not a necessity try adding a slow release fertiliser. When thinking of where to plant or position think Tuscany, somewhere nice and bright with lots of sunshine!
