Roses will grow in almost any soil as long as it is well drained. We would advise putting some well-rotten manure into the planting area.
Roses are deep rooted so make sure you dig a deep enough hole - approximately twice as wide as the roots. If planting them in a container make sure the compost does not dry out by watering regularly. Feeding the roses is also a good option whether it be specific rose fertiliser or just a general purpose feed.
