Large Eucalyptus Tree Eucalyptus Rostrata Single Stem 35 Litre: Eucalyptus Rostrata, commonly known as the Red Gum, is a species of Eucalyptus tree that is native to Western Australia. Eucalyptus rostrata is a tall, evergreen tree that can reach heights of up to 30 metres or more. It has a straight trunk with smooth, reddish-brown bark that peels off in long ribbons, revealing a lighter colour underneath. The bark adds visual interest and texture to the tree.

The leaves of Eucalyptus Rostrata are lance-shaped and a bluish-grey colour. They are arranged alternately along the branches and emit a pleasant eucalyptus scent when crushed. The foliage provides a unique and attractive silvery-blue appearance, making it a popular choice for ornamental purposes in gardens and landscapes.

In the summer months, Eucalyptus Rostrata produces clusters of small, white flowers that are borne on long stalks. These flowers are not only visually appealing but also attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. The flowers are followed by small, woody capsules that contain the tree's seeds.

Eucalyptus Rostrata is known for its resilience and adaptability to various soil types, although it prefers well-drained soils. It is also tolerant of drought conditions once established, making it suitable for UK gardens that experience dry spells.

This species of Eucalyptus is often used in landscaping and windbreak plantings due to its fast growth and ability to provide shade and shelter. Additionally, the aromatic foliage of Eucalyptus Rostrata can be harvested for use in floral arrangements, potpourri, or as a natural insect repellent.

Eucalyptus are an extremely low maintenance tree that require little or no pruning, pruning really needs only be undertaken to restrict height and spread or to remove any winter damaged foliage, apart from this the tree should ideally be left to its own devices. Ideal planting situation is in full sun in slightly acidic soil, if you are a novice gardener and do have any concept of soil type i would not worry to much about this these are extremely robust plants thats will adapt to the environment. Whilst the main page advertises suitable for pot planting, which they are, in our own opinion they will perform better if planted in the border.

Unfortunately the height of these plants makes it impossible for us to deliver them by courier and can only be delivered in one of our vehicles so we cannot deliver nationwide. As a rough guide we deliver to all destinations south of our nursery in the Cotswolds and upto approximately Manchester and Leeds if heading north. The Website will not take your order if you are outside of one of our delivery postcodes, this will be confirmed in the checkout and basket area when postcode is entered.

We may be able to deliver outside of one of our regular areas but by arrangement only.
