Tuscan Crown Olive Tree 160/180cm Girth 8/10. 18 Litre Pot: Mature Olive Tree with a traditional Tuscan crown, "Form Toscana" the heads are trimmed hard at a young age to create 3 shoots from the main trunk, after this first trim they are left to grow naturally this is the Tuscan way, apparently they are left like this so the Olives are easier to pick. These are fully hardy for the UK climate and look amazing in large pots.

Tuscan grown olive trees are renowned for their exceptional quality and the delicious olives they produce. Tuscany, a region in central Italy, is known for its ideal climate and rich soil, which provide the perfect conditions for olive trees to thrive.

The Tuscan landscape, with its rolling hills and mild Mediterranean climate, creates an ideal environment for olive cultivation. The warm summers and mild winters allow the olive trees to grow steadily and produce high-quality fruit.

Tuscan olive trees are typically of the Frantoio, Leccino, and Moraiolo varieties, which are well-suited for the region's conditions, these particular trees are Leccino

These varieties are known for producing olives with a balanced flavour profile, characterised by a fruity and slightly peppery taste.

The olives harvested from Tuscan grown olive trees are traditionally used for producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Tuscan olive oil is highly regarded worldwide for its exceptional taste and aroma. It is often described as having a grassy, herbaceous flavor with hints of artichoke and almond.

In addition to their culinary significance, Tuscan olive trees also contribute to the region's cultural heritage and landscape. The sight of the picturesque groves of olive trees, especially in the rolling hills of Tuscany, is a quintessential part of the region's charm.

If you are considering growing Tuscan olive trees, it's important to note that they require well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight. They are also relatively low-maintenance once established, only requiring periodic pruning and regular watering.
