The planted trough is a perfect instant hedge and very easy to maintain. The beauty of buying hedging in a trough is they are, typically, 2/3 seasons ahead of rootball. The plants are two years in the ground then a further 1 year in the trough. There are enough nutrients in the trough to held the plant for another 1/2 season.
