Large Green Phormium Tenax 150cm+/- 55 Litre Pot: The Tenax of Phormium is one of the best  and easiest to grow, producing elegant long deep green leaves. Once established they may depending on climate produce reddish flower spikes in mid to late summer. Its strong architectural form works particularly well in gravel gardens or is ideal if you are looking to create Mediterranean look. Can also be planted in a large pot to be used as focal point on a patio or balcony.The plant is also highly resistant to salt so a perfect choice for seaside locations.

With their arching, strappy, sword-shaped leaves, Phormiums make a dramatic statement in the garden, the effect of these plants will give is immediate. They are versatile evergreen plants that tolerate a range of conditions and look at home in a variety of different planting schemes. Phormium or New Zealand Flax, has two characteristics which are sought-after by gardeners looking to add a bit of drama to their borders. It offers bold, architectural lines with its erect, sword-shaped leaves and rich evergreen foliage colour.  They are especially suitable to container growing and is often used as a central feature to give height. As an evergreen it will add valuable winter interest to your garden where it will provide structure and act as a foil for flowering plants.
