Picea Pungens Hoopsii 15 Litre 100cm: Hoopsi is a highly ornamental decorative easily maintained tree. It wil reach heights at maturity of between 3 and 4 metres. These are beautiful trees, planted in large 15 Litre pots, with a minimum delivered height of 100cm, excluding the pot. 

Hoopsii is a blue silvery coniferous tree one of the most handsome of the blue spruce genus. This beautiful stately tree is the most eye-catching of the Colorado Blue Spruce cultivars. Its long, thick, bright silver-blue needles have earned it the reputation as an exceptional specimen tree, with a full, pyramidal form and uniform deep silver-blue needle colour throughout the year. Relatively slow growing reaching approximately 3 metres at 10 years of age, due to its upright conical growth habit and stunning colouring it makes a beautiful choice for an outdoor Christmas tree, that will look stunning during winter months, and a great centre piece for the summer.

What to expect: Your plant will arrive planted in a 15 litre pot with a minimum height excluding the pot of 100cm, height inclusive is approximately 130cm The pictures were taken November 2017, super plants! 

Planting position: Best planted in a sunny spot and whilst it is not particularly choosy about soil it tends to do better in humus rich

Eventual Height and spread: In good circumstances upto 4 metres but around 3 meters is more the norm with a spread of around 1.5 metres.

Flowering Period; Not applicable.

Hardy: Yes down to -30 so suitable for even the coldest parts of the UK.

Evergreen: Yes. 

Pruning: Not necessary.

Colorado Blue Spruce 'Hoopsii has attractive silvery blue foliage. The needles are ornamentally significant but remain silvery blue through the winter. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant. The rough grey bark adds an interesting dimension. A shimmering blue evergreen tree, it is narrow spire-shaped with large stout branches and long silvery-blue needles, a tree of great beauty and colour which is retained throughout the year; extremely hardy.
