Large Sicilian Olive Tree 15 Litre Pot: A great choice for a Mediterranean themed garden. These trees look absolutely fantastic on the patio, balcony or can even be planted a centrepiece in low growing bed. If your choice is patio or balcony they do not even have to be re potted, as they are already in a deco pot, they will have immediate impact and look great. Olive Trees are instantly recognisable and something we associate with warmer climates, however they are very tough plants and will cope admirably with the UK climate. Whilst these are tough plants they will thrive with a little bit of help along the way. The most important thing to remember is where they originate, they do not like to much water and certainly not a continually wet area, they are fully hardy though. If planting in the ground ensure it is in a free draining area that does not get waterlogged, if pot planted be sure to add some drainage, a slow release fertiliser should be added in early spring.
Whilst olive trees require no pruning you may wish to undertake some light pruning to keep the head size in check, this is best done in the milder months, this will avoid frost damage to any new growth which will appear pretty quickly.
