Acer Crimson Sentry also known as Norway maple 10 Litre pot: Acer Crimson Sentry a tall narrow, almots coloumnar shaped uptight tree reaching heights in excess 10 metres with an approximate spread of 5 metres. Dark red through to purple foliage, orange in Autumn. Our Norway Maples make super specimen trees for medium to large sized gardens, growth habit is upright and narrow. Maples are tough trees that are resistant to pollution so a good choice for city gardens. Will thrive in almost all soil conditions however heavy clay and waterlogged ground should be avoided.
What to expect: Your tree will arrive planted in a 10 litre pot, height inclusive is approximately 2 metres. Actual plants are approximately 175cm+. Depending on the time of year purchased it iwll arrive looking at exactly like the pictures, taken in September.
A relatively low maintenance tree, Norway Maples require very little help in becoming established. Try adding a dressing of multi purpose fertiliser around the plant in late spring to boost growth. Pruning is not required apart from removing any branches that have been damaged during winter, this is best done in early spring before the growing season commences.
