Colorado Blue Spruce 'Hoopsii has attractive silvery blue foliage. The needles are ornamentally significant but remain silvery blue through the winter. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant. The rough grey bark adds an interesting dimension. A shimmering blue evergreen tree, it is narrow spire-shaped with large stout branches and long silvery-blue needles, a tree of great beauty and colour which is retained throughout the year; extremely hardy.
