This beautiful stately tree is the most eye-catching of the Colorado Blue Spruce cultivars. Its long, thick, bright silver-blue needles have earned it the reputation as an exceptional specimen tree, with a full, pyramidal form and uniform deep silver-blue needle colour throughout the year. Relatively slow growing reaching approximately 3 metres at 10 years of age, due to its upright conical growth habit and stunning colouring it makes a beautiful choice for an outdoor Christmas tree, that will look stunning during winter months, and a great centre piece for the summer.

Colorado Blue Spruce 'Hoopsii has attractive silvery blue foliage. The needles are ornamentally significant but remain silvery blue through the winter. Neither the flowers nor the fruit are ornamentally significant. The rough grey bark adds an interesting dimension. A shimmering blue evergreen tree, it is narrow spire-shaped with large stout branches and long silvery-blue needles, a tree of great beauty and colour which is retained throughout the year; extremely hardy.
