Large Aucuba Japonica Variegata 12 Litre 80-100cm: Also commonly referred to a Spotted Laurel. Aucuba Japonica Variegata is a handsome evergreen and therefore should be classes necessity in a garden once light levels fall and temperatures plummet. Aucubas, or Japanese laurels, have winter-warming foliage in a variety of shades ranging from rich green to freckled gold. The female forms can produce large red berries if cross-pollinated by the reddish-purple flowers of a male. These large fruits colour up in spring. The variegated forms casts a speckled pattern of gold, Aucubas for want of a better phrase are bombproof,  able to tolerate drought and a variety of situations from full sun to deep shade. They are favoured by a lot of our local landscapers who use them in variety of settings. Don't be put off they make excellent garden plants especially in deep shade where very little else will thrive. They establish themselves quickly forming a rounded bush reaching 6-9ft within seven years.

What to expect: Our Aucaba Variegata are very well established in large 12 litre pots, standing at 80-100cm tall, with a spread of 50-60cm.
