Large Cordyline Australis Red Star 25 Litre 130-150cm: This ever popular, palm-like tree has arching, sword-like, deep red leaves, colour is retained year round. Mature trees, especially in milder areas can produce dramatic white flower spikes that smell delightful. Red Star is an ideal focal point for a sunny, protected border, patio or tropical Mediterranean themed garden. Whilst classed as winter hardy we recommend winter protection in colder areas or plants in pots can be placed inside during the harshest months.

What to expect: Large very well established plants potted in 25 litre/34cm pots arriving with a minimum actual height excluding the pot of 130cm, and will look exactly like the pictures.

Water the plant in its pot thoroughly before planting.  Prepare the planting area by digging a hole twice the size of the pot. Dig compost into the base of the hole try adding some slow release fertiliser. Remove the pot and position the plant in the hole, with the top of the rootball about level with the surrounding soil. Refill the planting hole with a mixture of garden soil and compost, firming as you go. Water in well and make sure of a good water supply throught the growing season.
