Magnolia Soulangeana Satisfaction 100/125cm 15 Litre: Satisfaction is a super attractive small growing Magnolia, reaching heights that will not exceed 3 metres, even in the very best planting conditions, realistically 2 metres is a more probable height. Magnolia satisfaction is a late flowering Magnolia that produces beautiful heavily scented two tone pink flowers in April and May, like all Magnolia it flowers on bare branches before the leaves appear, flowers are cup shaped and plentiful. Due to the late flowering in most cases these plants and more importantly the flowers will not be affected by late spring frosts. Pruning is not required apart from removing any winter damage.
Whilst Magnolia will grow in almost all soils they prefer acidic, if you suspect your planting area has a high lime content we recommend adding some ericaceous compost to the planting hole to raise acid. Plant in full sun through to light shade in free draining soil that does not get waterlogged. Once planted, established Magnolia do not like to be relocated.
Soulanageana Satisfaction is a relatively small Magnolia that will only reach heights in best circumstances of around 3 metres, realistically a mature height of around two metres is more probable. Pruning is not necessary, unless you wish to restrict size. Remove any damaged branches as and when necessary.
