Bamboo Pseudosasa Japonica 'Arrow Bamboo' Bushy 12 Litre Plants 125/150cm: This is one of the most widespread, and quickest growing Bamboo plants on the market its easily recognisable, it is probably in many of the gardens surrounding your home. Although an outdoor Bamboo it is so versatile it can actually be grown indoors, why you would want to im not sure though!  The long green leaves have a size range of between 12cm and 30cm by approximately 7cm wide, much larger than the leaves of other similar hardy Bamboo. Fully winter hardy to -20 so a good choice for the colder areas of the UK. Pseudosasa Japonica or Arrow Bamboo is an extremely tough and versatile plant, it can be planted in shade right through to full sun in a south facing garden and unlike some other Bamboo is extremely tolerant of wind, it makes a good choice for positions in the garden where most other plants have failed. It can, if you wish to restrict height, be pruned to almost any height we have actually seen in

Planting Position: Can be planted almost anywhere in the garden in any part of the UK from full sun through to partial shade, even in exposed windy sites it will perform better than most other Bamboo varieties.

Soil: Any free draining damp soil, humus rich is the perfect choice, arrow Bamboo is an extremely versatile so will adapt to almost anywhere.

Suiatable for container planting: Yes ideal for container and ground planting, if container planting is preferred keep in mind the plant will need re potting approximately every 2 years.

Eventual height and spread: Upto 6 metres with a 15-20 metre spread, to restrict the spread we recommend planting in a non-perishable root barrier.

Growth Speed; Quick Growth Habit: Upright, spreading.

Flowering Period: Not Applicable Pruning: Not necessary, unless you wish to restrict height.

Foliage: Olive green canes with mid to dark green leaves upto 30cm in lenght with a 7cm width.
