Sophora Japonica Pendula 100/120cm stem 50 Litre Pot: The weeping Japanese Pagoda Tree a picturesque weeping tree with stiff drooping branches. Formed by grafting the pendulous variant onto stems of the ordinary form at about 2 metres. This forms a natural arbour, over a long time ( 20+ years) these can grow into very large bushy plants with heights in excess of 10m and spread in excess of 7 metres so looking forward ensure plenty of room. Leaves are pinnate, very similar to an Ash leaf and don’t unfurl until late May, winter interest comes from the variegated stem. It can flower in hot summers but this shouldn't be relied upon as conditions especially climate would need to be ideal. Pictures taken in November so summer foliage has now been lost.
Pictures taken in April still plenty of foliage to come through.
