Acer Palmatum Orange Dream: Beautiful golden yellow-orange spring growth, a limey-green for the summer, turning a stunning orange gold in the autumn. Orange Dream is a slow growing deciduous Japanese maple making it and ideal choice for smaller gardens and container planting. It is suitable for all but the hottest parts of south facing gardens, where the foliage is liable to scorch in the strong midsummer sun. A relatively easy cared for shrub, ideal for pots and borders for best results always use ericaceous composy or if ground planted something with a ph level between 4 and 5. Q: Is this plant suitable for full sun in a south facing garden?
A: Orange Dream are ok in full sun but in our opinion not in the hottest part of the garden the leaves are quite delicate and can suffer from scorching if its to hot, ideal position is somewhere nice and bright that maybe gets sun in either the morning or the evening.
