Hydrangea 'Forever & Ever' Blue Large 5 Litre Plants: Another exciting concept from our award winning grower. Hydrangea Forever & Ever as the name suggests is a long flowering Hydrangea, however what makes this plant truly special and unique is the amount of flowers it produces and the fact that it flowers on both new and old wood so even after hard pruning it will produce an abundance of flowers annually
Forever & Ever remains a compact plant that does not grow larger than 90 cm. So you don’t need to prune it. Even after years in the garden, the plant retains a rather limited height. If you choose to prune then the Forever&Ever Hydrangea is very easy to prune. The best time to prune Forever&Ever is from mid to late February, just before the new growing season begins. We recommend not pruning any later than 1 March. To maintain a compact plant, cut all stems 20-25 cm above the ground.
Forever & Ever is best planted in slightly acidic soil in a spot that is lightly shaded or does not get hot afternoon sun, also a good choice for containers..
When should I prune back my Hydrangea:
We suggest waiting until Febrary/March when the frosts have gone. The dead flower heads will protect the plant over the winter months. When the frosts have finished cut it back by approximately a quarter and remove any weak or frost damaged shoots to the healthy wood.
