The clue to naming of the plants is the beautiful mophead flowers it produces 'Hydrangea three sisters' it combines 3 closely related colours on one plant. The three sister range consists of four colours, pink, blue, purple and pastel. The purple plant that this page relates to consists of three shades from pale right through to very dark and all on one plant! Like most other Hydrangea they are easily looked after. What to expect: Your plant will arrive in a large 6 litre pot, depending when purchased they will have different stages of maturity but it will have a minimum of 8 buds and a maximum of 12, it will be in super condition and will provide a real talking point for friends and guests.
When should I prune back my Hydrangea:
We suggest waiting until Febrary/March when the frosts have gone. The dead flower heads will protect the plant over the winter months. When the frosts have finished cut it back by approximately a quarter and remove any weak or frost damaged shoots to the healthy wood.
