What to expect: Your plant will arrive in a 10 litre pot with an actual height excluding the pot of approximately 80/100cm, nice strong plants.
Whilst Magnolia will grow in almost all soils they prefer acidic, if you suspect your planting area has a high lime content we recommend adding some ericaceous compost and peat to the planting hole this will help raise acid, in exceptional circumstances sprinkling sulphate of iron in Autumn to the surrounding compost will raise acid even further. Plant in full sun through to light shade in free draining soil that does not get waterlogged. Once planted, established Magnolia do not like to be relocated.
