Extra Chunky 1/2 Standard Photinia Pink Marble 45 Litre Pot: A popular lovely coloured cultivar with variegated cream and green leaves, which when they first emerge are flushed in pinky red, so overall the effect is very colourful. Pink Marble is very effective evergreen plant, that makes a lovely looking stand-alone specimen in the border or in pots.

Planting Position: Plant in full sun through to light partial shade. Away from exposed windy sites and extreme frosts

Soil: Suited to a full range of soils even clay if it is improved with rotted manure or compost, equally happy in acid through to alkaline.

Suitable for container planting: Yes will grow quite happily in a pot.

Eventual height and spread: Can and often does reach, without pruning a height of 3 metres with a 2-3 metre spread.

Pruning: Not really necessary but as we touched on above they can be pruned back quite hard to restrict height and spread, this is best done in early spring or during the summer months but not after August.

Growth speed: Relatively quick.

Flowering Period: Not a plant known for its flowering capabilities, but it will produce small clusters of white open flowers in early spring, for a short period.

Evergreen: Yes

Winter hardy: -10.

In many circumstances where the photinia plants are planted in rich soil it will require no additional fertiliser, if you notice or think growth is relatively slow apply some slow release fertiliser, apart from this and pruning to keep size in check this plant has no real specific requirements
