Mature genuine Tuscan Olive Trees, grown and trimmed in the traditional way.
Large Mature Tuscan Olive Tree 180/200cm. 50 Litre Pot : Mature Olive Tree with a traditional Tuscan crown, "Form Toscana" the heads are trimmed hard at a young age to create 3 shoots from the main trunk, after this first trim they are left to grow naturally this is the Tuscan way, they are left like this so the Olives are easier to pick. Tuscan Olive trees are never trimmed to a neat ball these are more likely Sicilian or Spanish, but not Tuscan! These are fully hardy for the UK climate and look amazing in large pots.
What to expect: These are mature specimens as pictured with girth of 14/16cm. To describe the diemnsions accuraterly is difficult they are by nature rather random, on average they stand at approximately 180/200cm above the pot this is from the top of the pot to the upper end of the crown, clear stem is around 80cm and the heads have an approximate spread of around 120cm, some are slighlly taller some are some slightly shorter if you have a specific requirement please let us know, we will do what we can. Whilst olive trees require no pruning you may wish to undertake some light pruning to keep the head size in check, this is best done in the milder months, this will avoid frost damage to any new growth which will appear pretty quickly.
All of our Olives are outdoor garden plants and not suitable for indoors.
These trees have to be delivered by ourselves or by pallet, delivery method will be confirmed in the checkout process. As a general rule we deliver to most postcodes south of the nursery in the Cotswolds and if heading north upto approximately Manchester and Leeds, areas outside of this the tress wil be delivered on a pallet.
